MASTERMATAZ – DANCE A GLOBAL PHENOMENON

The musical adventurer is back, if already a fan you will relish the new journey MasterMataz invites you on, and if new to the Londoner’s wizardry with sound, this is definitely the entry point to start the ride.
Creating until something sounds good is not enough, nor moving it on a bit more, no, he pushes until boundaries are stretched, realigned and nudged a little more and this new album is a fine example of why and the wonderful results.
Sliding you in on a gentle sway and groove with the title track’s electronica delights, this album leads you down many roads, exploring new avenues (such as dubstep) for the first time with tracks such as ‘Don’t No The Lingo, Just Close The Window’, taking you on highs with the awesome rock burst of ‘Busted By The Law At Breakfast’ to gliding you to chill out mode with the gorgeous ‘To The Promise Land’.
Collaborations with many talented artists also bring extra dimensions to the gift of sound across the 15 tracks bulging out from this album, and though it is probably unfair to pick one out, I have to give a mention for the track ‘Living Without You’ featuring Jenni French. With a voice to bring warm tingles, the sexy groove of this slice of sound is pure magic.
Various times flavours of influences can be picked up on, I myself was taken to memories of bands like Heaven 17, Dalek I Love You, Landscape and hints of more contemparies such as Hadouken, but like spices they just added a taste to a unique new recipe of sound.
With humour, tragedy, sadness and joy within the songs you are touched beyond just your ears. This is truly a treat of a musical adventure, a pleasure for ears, body and the soul. Don’t just take my word for it go take a nibble, just one for before you realise that bite has led to a full taste and devouring of the delights MasterMataz serves up..Do it!
Do Sayeth The Blue Clown!
